Many of you reading this email probably didn’t get enough sleep last night and some of you might even be downing your 2nd cup of coffee in the hopes that the caffeine will kick in before your next class begins. Your lack of sleep adds to the already high levels of stress you experience simply by working with teenagers in a high school setting. Sleep, probably the highest form of self-care, is extremely important to your work as an educator and the lack of it can negatively impact your interactions with your students.
