Counseling Awareness

April is Counseling Awareness Month

Children across the globe have been significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Mental Health issues are on the rise in all ages, but our youth are struggling in new ways due to social isolation, significant changes in day-to-day routines, and the fact that sometimes the adults in their lives aren’t expressing their own anxiety in appropriate ways.

You can visit this Thrive Global website to learn eight ways to support the mental health needs of children and teens during these times.  However, one of the most effective ways to improve mental health in all ages is through counseling.  With April being Counseling Awareness Month, I encourage you to take some time to learn something new about the counseling profession.  This ACA website is a great start!
