We are a collaboration of organizations in San Antonio who care about the mental wellness of kids. Several meetings together lead to a single priority—we wanted to invest in the people who spend the most time with kids. Our goal is to help educators and youth workers cultivate wellness and address mental health challenges early.

A year and a half ago, several organizations gathered for some facilitated brainstorming, using design thinking practices, to dream up something that would help address this problem: Mental health challenges in young people are pervasive and often untreated. This is a complicated question, as there are so many factors with mental wellbeing, but we felt we needed to try.

The idea of supporting those who work closely with kids every day was a natural step that everyone was excited about investing in. As the ideas grew, a few organizations really jumped into designing a pilot. Those organizations are Clarity Child Guidance Center, Communities in Schools and H.E. Butt Foundation. As a team, we selected LEE High School and NEISD as an ideal partner, because of their diverse student population and innovative staff and administration.

We are thrilled to be launching at LEE HS in Fall of 2018!
